Sarah Palin, freed? – After delivering scripted speeches for much of her candidacy and avoiding contact with reporters, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin spent about a dozen minutes chatting with the press on her campaign plane tonight — the first time she has done so as a vice presidential candidate.

Palin stretches the truth in campaign speeches – Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin tells audiences the election is about the “truthfulness and judgment” needed to be president. But the Alaska governor often stretches the truth herself.

State to review per diem payments to PalinPalin, the Republican vice presidential nominee, released two years’ worth of tax returns last week that did not list the per diem payments she received since becoming Alaska governor in December 2006. She collected nearly $17,000 during that period for 312 nights spent in her Wasilla home about an hour’s drive from Anchorage, according to state travel records.

Ifill: Palin “blew me off” – On “Meet the Press” Sunday morning, vice presidential debate moderator Gwen Ifill said Palin “more than ignored” some of her questions — she “blew me off.”

Olbermann “special comment” on Sarah Palin – On Countdown tonight, Keith Olbermann offered a “Special Comment” about Sarah Palin’s remarks that Obama was “pallin’ around with terrorists.”

Why are female Executives giving Palin’s thin credentials a pass? – My question is: Would any of these corporate success stories hire a similarly thin-resumed job candidate (male or female) to be their number two? To run their multi-billion dollar banking division?

Elitist in her family? You betcha! – The folks at Ancestry.com pored over the records and say they found that Joe Six-Pack’s champion is . . . tenth cousin to Princess Diana, via a common set of early 17th-century forebears. Also: She’s ninth cousin once removed to that blue-blooded Democrat Franklin Delano Ro osevelt.
